The Kansas City Business Journal names Thomas McGee as one of the "Best Places to Work"...
September 2009 -- The Kansas City Business Journal recently named Thomas McGee as one of the “Best Places to Work” in Kansas City. The program, in its ninth year, recognizes small, medium and large companies who provide good workplaces based on their employees' evaluations. Thomas McGee placed in the Top 10 in the 'medium-sized' category. The Kansas City Business Journal contracts with Wichita-based Quantum Market Research to administer the Web-based survey and tabulate results.
The survey asks employees to rate their companies on the following criteria:
- Team effectiveness
- Retention probability
- Alignment with goals
- Trust with co-workers
- Individual contribution
- Manager effectiveness
- Trust in senior leaders
- Feeling valued
- Work engagement
- People practices

AGC of Missouri Recommends Thomas McGee and the Contractors Plan
August 2009 -- Thomas McGee, L.C. announced it has been recommended by the Associated General Contractors of Missouri (“AGC-MO”) to offer 'The Contractors Plan' bona fide benefit plan to AGC-MO members working on Davis-Bacon jobs, including projects being created by the economic stimulus package (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 – “ARRA”). Through The Contractors Plan powered by Fringe Benefit Group, Thomas McGee’s associates are able to offer retirement plans and major medical, dental, vision and life insurance to contractors bidding and working on Davis-Bacon Act jobs.
