2010: Thomas McGee Celebrates Our Centennial Anniversary!
When Thomas McGee opened its doors in 1910, the world was a much different place. Just in that decade alone the world saw the Titanic sink, the outbreak of the Spanish flu, and World War I. In pop culture, the first U.S. feature film, Oliver Twist, was released; Charlie Chaplin created and debuted his trademark character; crossword puzzles were the hot new game, and Jazz music rocked the nation. As for technology, the 1910’s included typewriters and telegraphs.
Here we are 100 years later in the age of I-Phones, PDA’s, Laptops, Video Conferencing, High Speed Internet and more.
